CCCC UPDATEMAY 2007A Report to the Churches of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference |
What is the Conservative Congregational Christan Conference?
The CCCC is an evangelical fellowship of ministers and congregationally governed churches, committed to Biblical Christian Unity. We are united by a common relationship with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, a commitment to God's Word, a love for each other, and a desire to reach people with the good news of Christ.
The Faith of the CCCC
We believe the bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God written.
We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in this present evil world.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ.
The CCCC and the Wider Body of Christ
In the U.S. the CCCC is connected to the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) and the Mission America Coalition. Internationally the CCCC is part of the World Evangelical Congregational Fellowship (WECF), an association of evangelical congregational bodies in 15 nations.
The Vision of the CCCC
Our vision is to be Congregational Christians honoring Jesus Christ together in fidelity to biblical principles! As a fellowship of believers we are
Committed to Christ (Honoring Jesus Christ Together by Loving God in Holiness)
Connected to One Another (Honoring Jesus Christ Together by Connecting with One Another in Love)
Cooperating in Purpose (Honoring Jesus Christ Together by Assisting One Another in Ministry)
Completing the Works God has for Us to Do (Honoring Jesus Christ by Expanding His Kingdom Together)
The CCCC and Church Multiplication
The Spirit of God is moving to develop a multiplication movement in the CCCC. We are seeing young pastors step out in faith to serve as church planters. Many churches now understand that an effective way to impact their community is to birth a new church from their church family. Pastors and churches in our regional fellowships are joining together to develop new church ministries. These are exciting times in the life of the CCCC!
The CCCC and Church Redevelopment
Church health is extremely important, and yet we recognize that over 80% of American churches today are in plateau or decline (they're dying). The CCCC has a specialized Ministry of Church Redevelopment to help our local churches revision, retool and effectively reach their communities for Christ.
The CCCC and Missions
The CCCC does not have its own Missions-Sending agency, but we have over 100 member ministers serving as missionaries throughout the world, working with various faith-based Missions agencies. We encourage our member churches to come alongside one or more CCCC member missionary with financial and prayer support. The CCCC sponsors several short-term Missions trips each year. in addition the CCCC continues an important ministry partnership with brothers and sisters in Micronesia.
