Carpets often require cleaning and deodorization after a fire, flood or other disasters. The treatment is typically a part of the disaster fire treatment process previously described. Yet, cleaning the carpet requires additional steps. Most disaster recovery companies send technicians for training seminars to obtain carpet cleaning methods that work well for a particular disaster that is common in their regions. An example is flooding, which is more general on the coast and along rivers than in mountainous areas.
